After the cheerful warm-up singing of teachers and students, the graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony in 2023 kicked off.

Graduates sing songs

The National Flag Guards escort the national flag and walks slowly to the flag-raising platform with neat steps. Accompanied by the magnificent national anthem, the national flag rises along the pole, and all the teachers and students stand in salute.

Teacher representative Tian Ronghui delivers a speech

        Tian Ronghui, a teacher representative in School of Design and Art spoke as, voiced her expectations to the graduates. First, stick to the responsibility. Second, stick to growth. Third, stick to gratitude. Tian Ronghui expressed the hope that everyone use the power of love to stick to their initial intentions and shoulder their mission bravely. I hope everyone will start a new journey with the determination of seizing every minute.

Student representative Liu Zhenlong delivered a speech

        "I wish you to go forward to pursue Excellence, wish you to raise the sail of victory to create sublimation, wish you to practice the promise of youth without regret, and spread your wings and soar like an eagle under the widest sky." Liu Zhenlong from Textile and Apparel College offered his best wishes to the graduates.

Alumni representative Lou Saiying delivered a speech  

Lou Saiying, an alumnus representative, shared her experience as an entrepreneur in the society. She said, "In the journey of life, especially when encountering setbacks, don't give up. The harder you work and the more you persist, the better the future will be." She called on graduates to forge ahead and bravely venture into the future, and contribute to the prosperity of the country.

Graduates representative Yuan Sitian delivered a speech

Yuan Sitian of the School of Computational Science and Electronics shared his feelings as a graduate representative, "Our college life will come to a successful end. When we go out of school, we should move forward with the ardent expectations of our alma mater and the deep affection of our teachers. Keep in mind the notion of perseverance and bravery to be the first, to respond to the call of the times and to youth." Later, she led the graduates to read the oath of graduates.

At the graduation ceremony, the "Notice on Commending the 2023 Outstanding Graduates of Ordinary Colleges and Universities in Hunan Province and the Outstanding Graduates of Innovation and Entrepreneurship" was read by Xiang Qian. All school leaders present awards to the representatives of award-winning graduates.

Wei Kexiang read out the Decision of Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Hunan Institute of Technology on Granting Master's Degree to 23 students.

Luo Yiping read out the Decision of Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Hunan Institute of Technology on Granting Bachelor's Degree to 4436 Students.

Yi Bing sent warm congratulations and good wishes to the graduates, and made a speech entitled "Sticking to our dreams and Determining to Move Forward". He shared three sentences. First, our dream is the direction of working and our dreams should be integrated into the times, society and love. Second, persistence is the only way to success. Persistence is accumulated over time, not achieved overnight, which entails courage to overcome difficulties and not giving up easily. Third, struggling is the most nurturing nutrition for growth. We must be self-motivated, hard working and tenacious to ask for bitterness. Yi Bing sent a message to the students, hoping that the beauty of the world will be with you. “Everywhere you go, there will be sunshine. This summer would become a new starting point for you to sail and dream. Hopefully, all students could live up to your youth. I wish you would be fresh, bright and powerful when you go to the next stage of your life!”

Awarded the 2023 Graduate Degree Certificate

At the degree awarding ceremony, the 2023 graduates, dressed in neat cap and gown and full of excitement, accepted all Party Committee members, school leaders and deans of various teaching colleges to crown and pluck ears for them.

At the end of the ceremony, teachers and students sang the school song of HIE, and the graduation ceremony ended successfully. The graduates present sang emotionally, as if telling their love to their Alma mater. Four years friendship leaves inerasable mark on your life journey, and way ahead to a bright future starts when you graduate and step out HIE. Say goodbye to our campus and move towards a brand-new journey. Hopefully, every graduate will bravely meet challenges head on and firmly move towards the future, writing another wonderful chapter in life!
