On the evening of October 24, the award ceremony and closing ceremony of the 2024 School Faculty and Staff Badminton Competition, sponsored by the school trade union, hosted by the physical education department, and co-organized by the school badminton association, was held in the main campus gymnasium. Qi Luliang, member of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Xiangqian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, and Wu Zhijun, member of the Party Committee and vice president of the Party Committee, attended the closing ceremony and presented awards to the winning teams.

Since the start of the competition on October 21st, a total of 17 teams and nearly 200 athletes have participated in the competition. The competition consists of two rounds.The first round is about four groups for a single round competition, and the top two in each group enter the second stage. The second round matches teams in the upper half with those in the lower half, and the winning team enters the final. After fierce competition, the branch union of physical education department won the special contribution award, the branch union of School of Information Science and Engineering won the championship, and the branch union of School of Computing Science and Electronics, the branch union of Economics and Management, the second branch union of administrative personnel, the first branch union of administrative personnel, the branch union of Textile and Garment College, the branch union of Materials and Chemical Engineering College and the branch union of Architectural Engineering College won the second to eighth places respectively.

In order to further implement the school's "135 Project" and vigorously promote the construction of Happy HIE Faculty, the trade union constantly enriches the campus cultural and sports life and builds a healthy and progressive brand of cultural and sports activities. In the future, the trade union will continue to organize and carry out all kinds of sports events that are beneficial to the physical and mental health of faculty and staff, and help faculty and staff to concentrate on promoting the high-quality development of various undertakings in the school.
