HIE wins 1st prize of the 5th “China Chuang Yi” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Xiangtan Division

Recently, in the 5th “China Chuang Yi” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Xiangtan Division, the project, “New Generation of Intelligent Device Interaction of Non-Contact Control”, recommended by our school won the first prize in the youth creative group, and will go for competitions at provincial level.



With the theme of “Creating a New Era and Realizing the Chinese Dream”, the competition is co-sponsored by the Xiangtan Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Municipal Finance Bureau, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission and other departments, organized by the Xiangtan Employment Service Center. The competition attracted 245 projects from Xiangtan University, Hunan University of Science and Technology, Hunan Institute of Engineering, and Xiangtan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Park.

The project “New Generation of Intelligent Device Interaction of Non-Contact Control” was jointly completed by teachers and students from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, the School of Mechanical Engineering, and the School of Management. Three core smart home products are designed, trying to build a complete, non-contact, immersive smart home closed-loop experience scene to achieve the purpose of “making the home more comfortable, smarter and healthier”. The series of products can be operated by gesture and voice, and the average cost is only 6-9 yuan. It has the advantages of easy installation, affordable price, strong portability, and high profit margin, and has been well received in the market.

In recent years, under the guidance of the concept of “Focusing on Brands, Concentrating on Advantages, and Making Key Breakthroughs”, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship has encouraged teachers and students to communicate across subjects, spread the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and promote vigorous development in schools.
