On the morning of July 20th, President Yi Bing and Vice President Luo Yiping led a team to  Hunan Geely Automobile Parts Co., LTD., to attend the opening ceremony of school-enterprise cooperation base as well as talent training exchange meeting.

Before the meeting, led by Zhu Junmin,  director of Geely Automobile welding system, President Yi Bing and Vice President Luo Yiping visited Geely Automobile welding workshop and learned about Geely Automobile's advanced manufacturing technology and human resource management system.

At the exchange meeting, Zhu Junmin introduced the orientation training program for outstanding engineers of HIE to the participants from such aspects as talent training mode, training objectives and specific plans, and put forward the concept of five-level model for talent growth. Mr. Liu Xiangyang, vice president of Geely group,  general manager of Hunan Geely Automobile Components Co., LTD., elaborated on seven projects of "Industry-University-Institute" cooperation.

After the opening ceremony,  Liu Xiangyang, on behalf of Geely, pointed out that under the background of new development situation in the world, enterprises should develop themselves through independent innovation, while universities play a significant role in promoting scientific and technological innovation and economic development by taking charge of many important scientific research projects. Therefore, enterprises and universities should go hand by hand in many areas so as to make contribution to scientific and technological progress and economic development.

On behalf of HIE, Yi Bing thanked Geely for its support and help in talent training, school-enterprise cooperation, scientific research, innovative practice platform and so on. He pointed out that a year of close cooperation contributes to thorough implementation of cooperative education between colleges. He stressed that both schools and enterprises should further strengthen in-depth cooperation in such fields as Geely Automobile Industry Institute, Geely Lecture Hall, Excellence  Initiative  2.0 and scientific research, so as to build a "Six-in-One" substantive education platform integrating production, education, research, transformation, innovation and application. 

This exchange meeting is the fifth high-level exchange meeting since HIE signed the school-enterprise strategic cooperation agreement with Geely on June 25, 2019. Directors of Academic Programs Division,  Office for New Engineering Discipline Construction, Alumni Office, School of Electrical and Information Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Materials and Chemical Engineering, School of Textile and Clothing, School of Computer and Communication attended the meeting.
