Our Teachers Achieve Remarkable Results in the Hunan Division of the 15th "SFLEP Cup" National College Foreign Language Teaching Contest

From June 28th to 30th, the Finals and Award Ceremony of the 15th "SFLEP Cup" National College Foreign Language Teaching Contest (Foreign Language Majors Group) Hunan Division were held. The contest was organized by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Foreign Language and Literature Majors of General Undergraduate Colleges in Hunan Province and Shanghai International Studies University, and hosted by the College of Humanities and Foreign Languages of Hunan Agricultural University and Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press. Two teachers from the College of Foreign Languages, Long Sirui and Zhang Zhengyu, participated in this teaching contest.

The contest featured live teaching competitions for both the English Major Group and the Business English Major Group. Several renowned professors from universities across the province were invited as judges and guests. A total of 30 foreign language teachers from universities throughout Hunan participated, engaging in exchanges and discussions. After an intense and thrilling competition, Teacher Long Sirui from the College of Foreign Languages won the First Prize in the Business English Major Group, while Teacher Zhang Zhengyu won the Second Prize in the English Major Group.

During the contest, contestants in both groups demonstrated the excellent spirit, solid language and teaching skills, and outstanding humanities and comprehensive qualities of university teachers in Hunan Province during the finals. Their outstanding performances left a deep impression on all the judges. This participation was an excellent opportunity for young teachers in the College of Foreign Languages to learn and train, facilitating full learning and exchanges with other outstanding foreign language teachers in the province and providing them with a deeper understanding of teaching and competition, which is of great significance for improving teaching.

The College of Foreign Languages has always attached great importance to the cultivation of young teachers, continuously enhancing their teaching abilities and academic levels through participation in various teaching competitions, training, and academic exchanges. This participation not only showcased the talent of young teachers in the College of Foreign Languages but also further inspired them to continue advancing on the path of teaching and research, striving to achieve greater accomplishments.
