Recently, the Graduate School of Xiangtan University announced that six professors from our university, including Zhang Xiaogang, have been appointed as Ph.D. supervisors.

In 2024, our university continued to advance the "135 Project," adhering to the principle of "strengthening the team," and deepened collaboration with Xiangtan University to establish a broad academic exchange platform.

The newly appointed Ph.D. supervisors include Prof. Deng Yonghe (Physics), Prof. Huang Zhonghua, Prof. Mao Wengui (Mechanics), Prof. Ren Zhenhua (Materials Science and Engineering), Prof. Yang Hai (Chemical Engineering and Technology), and Prof. Zhang Xiaogang (Public Administration).

With the strategic cooperation agreement signed earlier, the two universities will continue collaborating in discipline development, degree program construction, talent cultivation, scientific research, and faculty development, providing intellectual support for the modernization of Hunan Province.

To date, the number of our faculty members serving as Ph.D. supervisors at Xiangtan University has increased to 10.
